Welcome to the Vicksburg Trails Commission Web Site. The Vicksburg Trails service youth groups wanting to learn more about our nation's history. We have 6 treks available, each with its own unique recognition program.
Note: Primitive camping is no longer available in the Park. There have been numerous complaints about the Scout Groups that have camped there not following the rules set down by Military Park personnel. Therefore, the decision was mnade to close the campground to the public. If you have any other questions on this, please contact Steve Elwart at elwarts@bellsouth.net or 601-636-6752 .

The Vicksburg Trails Commission was formed in 1955. The concept was formed as a result of a Council Camporee held in the Vicksburg National Military Park.
